This is a traditional style Barolo with long maceration, no use of new oak, natural yeast, no filtration and the vineyards are of course cultivated organically. The wine is blended from three different vineyard parcels in Serralunga d’Alba by Sigurd Wongraven. All owned, cultivated and vinified by Ferdinando Principiano. The key factors to the finesse and elegance of this Barolo, is the inclusion of wine from old vines with naturally low yields, some fermented with stems to restrain the alcohol content.

Tasting Note
Intense aromas of jasmine, lavender, tar, anise seed, licorice and dark cherries. Juicy and fruit-driven on the entry, full bodied with medium acidity and firm fine grained tannins and flavors of dark cherries, tobacco leaves, licorice root and lavender. High concentration and a dry, long finish with flavors of red berries and tobacco leaves.
